We feel that each child’s reserved appointment time is important to their healthy smile. A missed or late arrival greatly impacts your child’s continued dental health.
Please review our office policies to ensure every visit is given the care and attention our patients deserve.
Attendance/Running Late
We understand situations occasionally arise that make it impossible to attend a previously scheduled appointment. We kindly request that you notify our office by phone no later than 24 hours in advance, preferably 1-2 business days if you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment. Prompt notification allows your child to quickly reserve another appointment and enables another patient to take advantage of your original appointment.
Each appointment is scheduled by identifying the child’s individual needs and necessary treatment time; often these needs cannot be met in a shortened time frame. Because of this, we cannot see a child who arrives 10 minutes or more after their reserved appointment time. We will attempt to schedule your child that day but only if we can do so without impacting another patient’s reserved time. Typically, the late arrival to an appointment will not be able to be accommodated that day. The appointment will need to be rescheduled and this becomes a missed appointment.
A no-show fee may be applied at the discretion of our office for missing an appointment. Multiple reminders are sent before the appointment time. Please allow advanced notice if you must cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Multiple no-shows or missed appointments can result in dismissal from the practice.
While we know you cannot always control your schedule, we highly value quality time. Because we structure our day to spend time with each of our patients, we hope you can understand why these policies are important and how tardiness can impact all appointments.
